This gives you an unlimited source of free music – just locate your song on Youtube or other portals, and with one click you have it as mp3 on your harddisk! Furthermore, Tunebite free has a high-quality audio converter. In addition to saving video clips, Tunebite free can convert the audio track of e.g. Tunebite free is compatible with all web browser software. The video clips can be converted on-the-fly to any video file format. We'll see if it falls apart once version 2023 comes out, but if I can score it for $25 a year, that's still cheaper than PlayOn.Tunebite free can record any video from Youtube, Myspace, Facebook, Yahoo, Clipfish and Myvideo that you can watch in your web browser. So limited experience with Audials has been good overall with the above expectations. I've used Disney, HBOMax and Hulu and got acceptable results. Again, way more nerdy than PlayOn, but once you get the settings you are happy with, works for most sites. I could probably tweak some more recording settings (audio quality, stereo vs 5.1, etc) and get that initial size down too. The file size is big with the settings I am using (~10GB per movie) but I use handbrake to shrink that down. Soo, I do most during the day when I'm on my work laptop, while my personal computer saves some movies for my Plex server. Recording one-off (ie, movies) it works fine, but its recommended to leave it fullscreen and Windows volume set to 100 percent. (I think expired?) At first the quality was lousy, especially the audio, but once I got the settings right, I'm pretty happy with it. I got it for $25 with a promo code about a month ago. If they offered a 5 year sub for $40, I probably would do that in a heartbeat, because though things occasionally break and the changlog is non existent on updates, PlayOn desktop is really easy to use. I got many years out of my "lifetime" subscription s. Lifetime (twice?) PlayOn Desktop user here, got fed up with PlayOn changing to subscription (though I get it financially for something that needs ongoing support). Best thing you can do is check out their forums and test their product (might want to give them a couple more days to squash bugs) and see what works for you. ![]() I've been using Playon for years now and still use it. ![]() i don't want to make this an add for other products. Less restrictive download limits, more channels and they don't count a failed download against your limits (AS does). If i had to pick a current favorite (without looking at cost :) ) SF would win between the two. since they download, they ignore the commercial streams completely and the CC are in sync (and you can have them external or embedded in the stream). Also a great benefit is that both remove commercials completely. I believe Audials (which is a recorder) can record seasons if the site auto plays the next episode ( mostly use Audials for music - fantastic for that). There are also limitations on the number of downloads per time frame (it's very difficult to explain the details but there is coverage about the limitations on their respective forums). Both have queuing available but AS is just getting started and there are some teething issues yet. Right now both are still having issues with downloading 1080P (you end up with lower resolutions) and 5.1 (you end up with AAC) on some channels. both download very quickly - 30 minutes episodes in 3 to 5 minutes.
